The visitor

Posted by: Jeffery    in Think on This

One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, ‘I always park there! You took my place!’

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, ‘That’s my seat! You took my place!’ The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday school, the visitor went into the sanctuary and
sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, ‘That’s where I
always sit! You took my place!’ The visitor was even more troubled by
this treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them,
the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandled feet.

Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, ‘What
happened to you?’ The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, ‘I took your place.’

When you receive this, take the time to call out to the One who took
your place. If you know Him, give Him the praise he so rightly deserves. If you don’t know Him, maybe it’s time to have a ‘one on one’ meeting with Him that will never fail you. Either way call out to
Jesus, That’s all you have to do, He will take you by the hand, and
take your place.

A thank you from Jeffery Moore

Posted by: Jeffery    in Personal Writings

To all my friends and family, I want to send a special thank you for your kind wishes here on facebook, through phone calls, and through email!

Turning 36, happily married to a beautiful and wonderful wife, two wonderful little boys, experiencing a closer walk with Jesus Christ, and having so many loving family members and friends is really awesome, and for your part in my life, I say a thank you that words may never express the magnitude of.

People come into our lives, some only for a little while, some are lifelong, but I truly do believe that each and every person is there for a reason. We may not always notice that reason immediately, and sometimes, maybe never truly realise it, but there is a reason. We are in each other’s life for a reason, and I pray that God use me to lift up, inspire, and motivate you and everyone I meet to see His light and love.

It has been very humbling to see such a reaction to this birthday, possibly one of the biggest in my life. I truly am grateful for each and every single person taking the time to wish me well. I look forward to the coming years, and pray the Lord to bless us all beyond measure, according to His will.

If you remember but one thing about me, remember that I strive to love you as Christ does, and see you through His eyes, so that nothing but true compassion and friendship shines through. To be a faithful and humble servant to our Lord, to be there when you need me, always eager to lift you up to Him.

With Love,
Jeffery Moore

How To Employ the Guy Handshake Hug Combo

Posted by: Jeffery    in Think on This

As literally as we in the church take the apostle Paul, we have no problem skipping over Romans 16:16. Instead of the recommended kiss to greet one another, men of the church have developed the Guy Handshake-Hug Combo.

The GHHC says, “Friends don’t shake hands- friends hug…but not with both hands.”

Here’s some tips on properly employing the Guy Handshake- Hug.

Follow carefully:

1. As you approach the other individual, start the conversation.

2. Extend your right hand for the handshake. Use a firm grip.

3. Don’t let go of the handshake.

4. Extend your left hand around to the back of the person you’re greeting.

5. Slap high, near the shoulder blades- never low on the back or near the belt.

6. Turn your head to the left to avoid facial contact or the awkward moment when
you don’t know which side your head should go and onlookers think the two of
you might kiss.

7. Keep talking.

8. Slap three (3) times. Slap. Do not pat. Patting signals weakness. Slap.
The harder you slap, the manlier you are.

9. Each slap represents one word in the Evangelical Guy Code Book.
Three slaps during the GHHC says, “I’m…not…gay.”

10. Never, ever touch cheeks to another man.

11. Never, ever rest your head on the shoulder of another man.

12. Absolutely never, ever cry on another man’s shoulder.
Remember Ed Norton and Meat Loaf in” Fight Club”?

13. After the three slaps, wait a fraction of a second before pulling away.
Pulling away too quickly sends a similar vibe to patting the other person’s back.

14. Keep talking.

15. Pull back from the hug maneuver and establish proper distance for
talking face to face.

16. Let go of the handshake. Be careful to release the entire hand simultaneously.
Never let one finger linger longer than the others!

17. Keep talking.

18. The move is complete. Congrats on implementing a successful GHHC!

What is Christianity…..really

Posted by: Jeffery    in Think on This

These are some notes/thoughts for a new blog post, saving here to not lose:

Christianity is supernatural or nothing at all. We still have a supernatural Jesus & a supernatural
ministry. This creates a supernatural church, w/ a supernatural Gospel, & a supernatural Bible. Take the miraculous away & you have taken Christianity’s life away & the church becomes a social club, when it is intended to be the grid system for transmitting the power of God into this powerless world. This is why we can depend on Jesus & our promise of the Holy Ghost. We must seek His heart in all we do, and allow Him to pour out His Spirit for annointing & power.

I Am

Posted by: Jeffery    in Personal Writings

I AM

Be still child
Listen to your heart
Know
I AM

Cry Out!
Call My Name!
Seek me and know
I AM

Reach Out!
Lift up your hands
Need me and know
I AM

Stand up!
Defend what is right
Defend me and know
I AM

Be still my child
Hear my voice
Let me guide you
Because I AM

Cry out, my child
I hear your voice
And will answer you
Because I AM

Reach out, need me, my child
I am waiting
Wishing to take your hand
Because I AM

Stand up my child
I will Protect you
And Proclaim you my child
Because I AM

When you come to me
I am already there waiting
Invite me and know
I AM
